The quick synopsis: After KGB-FM and our last show at 91X, it's been a boondocker bonanza of a radio ride. We did a show at KFMB for a few months until the station renewed their contract with the Padres and replaced us with a baseball talk show as part of the deal. Mike dove deeper into his voice-over career, and Jeff ended up taking a job at KOGO as the morning anchor for the top rated news talker. 8 years later he resigned to recharge his batteries.

After a few months of laying around in his underwear, we discussed getting the Berger & Prescott show back on the air. We ended up doing a couple of dozen weekend shows on FM talk "103.7 Free FM". It was great for us while it lasted, but CBS pulled the plug on the station in June '07 due to lackluster ratings. Basically the initial programming wasn't going to work in San Diego. All the full time shows at first were simulcast from LA, and the success of the mother ship station's line-up was dependant on the departed Howard Stern morning show (Tom Leykis being the exception). Despite the local promotion to make it happen, The Adam Corolla morning show tanked here. In addition most of the local weekend shows were UN-LISTENABLE...the others were brokered - selling everything from human growth hormone type products to mortgages. So this experiment in FM talk in San Diego was squanderd. Too bad...with a different vision, execution, and better programming we think it could have been successful. At some point maybe it'll happen again...

(103.7 is now Adult Contemporary "Sophie").
